A Place for No ‘One’..

Since childhood this phrase has formed an integral part of our lives.. ‘No matter what you do, someone out there is ready to criticize you for that.’ The validity of this statement has been tried and tested in the past few (so many) years.. But the real implication of which i have come across in the past few days.. There is that ‘someone’ we all know.. Lets call him Mr. A .. He works for an organisation which has been prone to some pests in the past few (so many) years. Each time the pest struck some department and the officials would just make some temporary arrangements to get rid of it and no-one would actually get down and clean the mess. They just silently enjoyed beer bellies on stomachs full of chicken and mutton dishes flaunting a bank balance with zeroes threatening to drop one’s jaw to the ground (if heard). But this time it was Mr A’s department which was the victim of the ‘Scam’.. and for every time in the past when the pest had struck some other department and he had been all anxious to go there and clean the place, he took an ‘extreme’ step this time. Today, he just sealed the ‘hole’ from where the pest had found entry into his institution on several occasions.. Yet again, in both the scenarios there were a particular set of “Babu’s and Babi’s” sitting on a lunch table and discussing the ‘merits’ of doing so, they even discussed whether it was liable and morally correct and within the span of A’s duties to take such an ‘Extreme’ Step.. Now Mr. A faces an Enquiry board which asks him his exact motive of taking such an ‘Extreme Step’!! .. Well, if an infiltrator tries to enter our house and tries to destroy the peace and harmony of our home, would we just take the first thing in our hand and hit it hard on the head and just nip it in the bud or wait for it to grow and feed on us before making a fuss about methods to get rid of it.. Food For Thought..
